My step-daughter lives out of town and I acted as her “eyes on the ground” as she worked out the details of her perfect day. The ceremony and reception were held at the Atlanta History Center, in the Grand Overlook Ballroom. Since Jenny is an experienced event planner, she was able to lead the process very effectively, and Courtney and her team worked with us as our Day-of Planner. Courtney was fantastic during the weeks leading up to the wedding, sharing tips/tools with Jenny, organizing our planning meeting and the walk-through with the vendors and helping me stay on schedule. She is highly organized, and focused on all the details that made the day so special for our family. On the wedding day, she and her team kept us all on point and “picked up the pieces” for anything we missed, without skipping a beat. The day was flawless! They were so much fun for us to work with, complemented each other as a team, and impressed everyone they met with their professionalism and approachable demeanor. My husband, Alex, and I got engaged in September of 2014, while living in Tennessee. At that point, we had only two things certain...we wanted an intimate celebration in Atlanta, and we were going to need some help planning a wedding out of state! We interviewed several coordinators on a weekend visit to Atlanta that November. By our last interview, we knew we’d found our perfect match in Courtney Drake with Stella Harper Events. From our first meeting, it was evident Courtney was in a league of her own when it came to planning weddings. She took our piecemeal vision and brought to life a celebration more breathtaking than Alex and I could have ever imagined.We had the pleasure of working with Courtney over a long engagement of two years. The ceremony was beautiful, involving our wedding party walking over a pool of water to the breathtaking music of a string quartet. The cocktail hour felt like an intimate gathering of friends in the elegant Taipan room of the Mandarin, complete with floor to ceiling views of the gorgeous ceremony Gardens at sunset. Our reception included a remarkable four-course plated dinner with wine pairings and wonderful live musical entertainment. Not a fraction of our perfect day could have been accomplished without our brilliant Courtney.We will forever be grateful to Courtney Drake for creating the wedding of our dreams. Hiring her was absolutely the best money we could have spent on our wedding. Working with Courtney was such a pleasure, we’ve already begun discussing future events we might have the opportunity to enlist her exceptional taste and expertise!
I can’t say enough about Courtney Drake!! She is amazing and very professional. Having a wedding planner is so important especially if you live far away from your wedding venue. Living on the West Coast, I had to find someone that I could trust and rely on when I needed them. I was so lucky to find Courtney! After a few email exchanges and phone calls, she got to know us and our style. She is good about getting back to you in a timely manner. I never worried about timelines or other tedious task because she is VERY thorough. All of the vendors that she suggested were phenomenal!! Drake Social made planning a wedding in 5 months not only possible, but fun! My then fiancé and I were overwhelmed with choices, and Courtney from Drake Social took our vision and brought it to life! It was even better than I could have ever imagined, and during the whole process she made sure to point us to what was most important- the celebration of marriage! We left every meeting and phone call refreshed and excited about the decisions that were being made because we knew she truly cared about our wedding day. There is not nearly enough space for me to fully articulate my level of satisfaction with Courtney Drake and Drake Social. When Delta and I decided to get married, we already knew we wanted our wedding to be at the Mandarin Oriental in Buckhead. We met with event planners at the Mandarin and while they were wonderful, we soon realized the planning of a wedding was going to require so much and we were both working with much travel involved. Plus, our wedding date was less than two months from the day I asked Delta to marry me. We asked for suggestions for wedding planners and reviewed several websites and decided to call Courtney of Drake Social. I knew on the first call we had our wedding planner. Her energy and excitement and knowledge immediately impressed me. We picked out a planning package based on my request to have her do almost everything. With limited time and a busy work life we relied on Courtney to suggest almost all of our vendors. We did pick out our rings, the wedding dress and dress for the wedding party, and the venue. Almost everything else came from Courtney. She would give us two or three names and a description of each vendor and we would pick one based on our preferences. Once Courtney had a name that was all she needed to make everything happen. The two of us and Courtney met with the Mandarin staff and decided on the arrangements for the wedding weekend. We had the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on Friday, the wedding and reception with a live band on Saturday, and a breakfast on Sunday before our entire wedding party and attendees left for their homes. We had a brief stop at home before a honeymoon in Savannah. The entire weekend was a storybook event. Everything was perfect at the Mandarin Oriental in Buckhead. The vendors we selected with Courtney’s guidance were perfect. We had flowers, special chairs and tables, special floral and wedding arrangements, a string quartet, a live band, a special room for children, a room for the bride and a room for the wedding party, a room for the rehearsal, a room for the wedding and a room for the reception in addition to all the guest rooms. Each function room had its own unique decoration and contents. Every meal was wonderful and we knew it would be after the tasting event Courtney arranged at the Mandarin. Courtney even recommended our officiant and he was fantastic. Courtney spent the entire weekend making sure everything was perfect and fabulous. I know there was much she did behind the scenes to make sure we had the fabulous wedding we wanted and experienced. Our guests still talk about how wonderful it was and how much they enjoyed being part of our special weekend and wedding. My fiance Amit and I moved to Atlanta, Georgia just five months before we got engaged. Work brought us to Atlanta, and as such we did not know anybody down here, and our families were states away from us. After settling down from the excitement of the engagement, it dawned on me how daunting of a task it was to plan a wedding in general, let alone in a brand new city without friends and family close by to help out. While I was overjoyed to be engaged to the love of my life, and very excited for the actual wedding, admittedly I was dreading the planning of the event. With working full time and working on my masters degree full time, as well as building a brand new home, free time was not something that I had in excess. I knew that I was going to need help, so we sought out a wedding planner. Amit and I interviewed a handful of wedding planners, but we knew almost immediately when we had found the person who was going to hold our hands through this process and make sure that all the images I had in my head would come to life on our wedding weekend, with no details spared. That person was Courtney Drake, with Stella Harper Events.Courtney instantly made us feel at ease and comfortable with her. She took the time to listen to us, and to understand exactly what we needed from her. Throughout the planning process Courtney guided and directed me through countless meetings with vendors, worked through contract negotiations with us, kept everything and everyone organized, made sure I stayed on top of tasks as they came up, and really helped to bring the vision that Amit and I had for our wedding weekend to life. She has an incredible eye for design, and made this overwhelmingly daunting task easy and seamless. The wedding weekend itself was flawless (minus some rain, but even Courtney couldn’t do anything about that!) From the rehearsal on Friday afternoon, to the welcome party on Friday night, through the wedding festivities on Saturday and the bridal brunch on Sunday, Courtney ensured that every detail was attended to. Of course all of the major details were taken care of: vendors, food, lighting, florals, etc.. But what really sets Courtney apart is her attention to small detail, and her drive to ensure that her couples have an extraordinary time on their wedding weekend, without a care in the world. Making sure that the gifts and cards made it back to our suite, ensuring that the cleaning staff came to our suite during the reception so that when we arrived late in the evening it was clean, ensuring that the bridal party ate breakfast and lunch, and ensuring that Amit and I had a few moments to ourself in between the craziness of the weekend are just some of the seemingly minute details that make a huge difference. Being able to focus on our family and friends and enjoying the weekend with them without having to worry about anything was important to Amit and I, and Courtney ensured that happened. She truly made our dreams come to life, and we could not be more pleased or quick to recommend her to anyone. Any bride would be truly blessed to have Courtney.

When I got engaged at the end of April 2015 and decided I wanted to get married before football season (southerner here), I knew that Step 1 was finding a full service coordinator. My mother helped me out by interviewing about 15 coordinators, narrowing it down to three. Within ten min of meeting Courtney Drake, I knew she was the one for me! After we had a good laugh about trying to pull this off in just 4 months, she was at work! Within 48 hours I had the initial ‘critical items’ I needed to get started. She was brilliantly organized and knew exactly how to fit everything into a compressed timeline for a Bride that travels and works long hours. We got married Aug 30th, just 4 short weeks ago, and everything was perfect. The venue (Ventanas) was beautiful, and all my vendors were on point. I rented just about everything, including huge 8 foot long farm tables for an indoor space up an elevator. When I say Courtney had a challenge on her hands, that’s an understatement. All I know is this - even though that was the most vendors Ventanas has ever had at an event, it came together flawlessly, and I didn’t have a single moment of stress. My wedding day was about my friends, family and the new chapter of my life with the love of my life. It wasn’t about details or schedules. Courtney made the entire planning process fun. Everyone at SHE was professional and supportive. There is no way I could have pulled that off on my own- even if I’d had a year to plan it. I simply didn’t have the time. My time and happiness is worth more to me than what I paid SHE. I highly recommend them to anyone who asks. Your wedding day should ‘automagically’ happen. Work with SHE, and it will!!
We weren’t going to hire a coordinator when we first started planning, but when my mom insisted, we hired Courtney and SHE as our day of coordinator and it was hands down one of the best decisions we made throughout the process. There are so many little things that I didn’t even think about that Courtney knew to ask. She was always available to answer my emails and sent me reminders and timelines and advice throughout the planning process. I was so impressed with her at our walk-through as I wasn’t sure what to expect. She coordinated the whole appointment, got all my vendors there, and made sure we were all on the same page. So many people told us how well the whole day went and it was all Courtney and her team. I don’t know what we would have done without her that day. She also has a great personality and a great sense of humor which she needed with our group, but also knew when to be serious and get people where they need to be. Thank you so much SHE and Courtney!! So worth the price which is even super reasonable for the service that you get.
I can’t believe I can say we finally made it! With your constant support and direction, I can say it’s now the two-week anniversary of the best day of my life. I told myself about a hundred times before the wedding not think about it in those terms, “the best day of my life”, because I was just setting myself up to get overwhelmed about the details, and potentially end up disappointed, but Courtney, it really was the best day.I cannot begin to thank you enough for being such a huge part of that. Even Patrick, who has for the most part been very out of the loop about the majority of the work we (ok mainly you haha) did in preparation for the big day, has said to me SEVERAL times how impressed he has been by how perfect you made everything. And he’s 100% right, you were the reason everything went so perfectly, so we could just sit back and enjoy our wedding, our families, and our friends. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there for us, and putting your all into every minute. I would love to write a review on your behalf and you can bet your butt I’ll be trying to convince every bride I know that they need to call you ASAP. You are absolutely the best of the best.

Courtney at SHE was fantastic. My wedding day was perfect and went off without a hitch. I did the day of package, but Courtney was involved from the very beginning of the planning process. I used everyone one of her recommendations for catering, makeup & hair, officiant, and decor. They were all as fabulous as she was. I know my wedding day would not have gone so perfectly without Courtney. I highly recommend using SHE for planning your special day. It’s well worth the price to be able to enjoy the day and not worry about a thing.

We got married a couple weeks ago at 200 Peachtree, and it was the most perfect day ever. Courtney Drake was our coordinator and I am SO happy that we got her! SHE IS AMAZING. I am slightly a control freak, so I was little worried about having to let someone else make sure the biggest day of my life ran smoothly. My husband and I got married June 19, 2015 so it was a few weeks ago, yet all of our friends and family cannot stop commenting on how perfect our wedding was. Choosing Stella Harper was one of the best things I did while planning our wedding. At the beginning of the planning process I was completely in over my head. I was unsure of what we needed, what was negotiable, and how to make the wedding uniquely ours. As I met with vendors, the one common word of advice was to get a wedding planner or at least a day of coordinator. I decided to meet with a few and get some quotes. When I met with Courtney, I could tell how much she loved wedding planning, and how organized, insightful, and fun she was. She was able to immediately get a grasp of my vision, when I did not have the words for it myself. She helped me bring my ideas to reality, all while staying in budget. Courtney is connected with the greatest vendors in Atlanta, and is greatly respected amongst them. Whenever I was asked who my planner was, vendors would immediately smile and rain praises on her. This past year has been extremely hectic due to grad school, work, internships, and other life responsibilities. In the midst of everything I was worried I was going to let things fall through the cracks with the wedding. Courtney made sure everything was taken care of. She made me feel secure and confident that the wedding was going to be perfect. On top of all of this, I cannot speak more highly of how she did the day of the wedding. My bridal party (husband included) were pulling shenanigans the whole day, and Courtney was able to play along while keeping everything on track. She is funny, directive, and great at what she does. She managed to take care of everything without me ever knowing anything went wrong. I was able to sit back and truly enjoy how special the day was. I was able to spend time with my loved ones and never be concerned with logistics, set ups, or emergencies. I am now getting ready to help my soon to be sister in laws plan her wedding. My biggest piece of advice to her is to get a wedding planner, specifically Courtney Drake.-
We hired a day of planner via Stella Harper Events, and were blessed to work alongside Courtney Drake. Hiring Courtney with Stella Harper was hands down one of the best decisions we made and well worth the investment! Courtney was so sweet and caring, professional and organized, and made sure every “i” was dotted and “t” crossed before the big day. She literally erases all of the stress that comes along with a wedding day and makes sure that you or your family don’t have to lift a finger or sweat the small (or big) stuff that come up along the way- we were able to enjoy ourselves and dance the night away without any concerns! The entire timeline of the night went off seamlessly, and Courtney was always available whenever I needed her that night whether it was to adjust something in the schedule or spray my hair with extra hairspray! I don’t know what I would have done without the lovely ladies at Stella Harper! Highly recommend to any bride to be:)
